Chapter 18- Shayla

I was going crazy just sitting around waiting for Blockka or the rest of the crew to come and tell me something about Dominic. I waited until everybody went to sleep and I snuck out of the house. I had no idea what hospital he was in, so I checked all of them until I ended up at the University of Miami. I gave the receptionist my information and she gave me a visiting pass. It was late, but because I was his wife, I was able to get up to his room. Once I made it up to the floor that he was on, I looked down at the pass to see the room number so that I could get to the correct room. My heart began to beat rapidly as I made my way up to his room door. When I walked in, Blockka, Tech, Rashad, and an unknown woman were standing around his bed.

“How is he?” I said as I walked over to his bed. I covered my mouth to stifle the loud cry that threatened to escape my body. Dominic had tubes coming from everywhere. If his chest wasn’t moving up and down, I would have thought that he was dead. He was so swollen that he was barely recognizable.

“He gon’ make it, but his lungs collapsed so they have him in a medically induced coma and on a ventilator until his lungs are better and he can breathe on his own.” I turned around and looked at this bitch who didn’t look like a medical professional telling me my husband’s diagnosis. I got a good look at her and it was the same bitch he was in the hotel and the club with.

“Get the fuck out!” I grabbed her ass in the collar and tried to drag her ass out.

“Chill Sis. Not right now!”

“Chill my ass. Don’t fucking Sis me.” I pushed Blockka off of me as he tried to get in between us. I kept trying to get a good grip on the bitch, but Rashad and Tech joined in and was able to get in between us.

“I understand he’s your husband and all, but I have as much right to be here as you. I’ve been fucking with Dominic for the last four years and I have a four year old daughter to prove it. Unlike you, I’m able to give him a child. What you lack in, I pick up the slack. So you see we share that nigga.” The bitch pointed at him as she spoke. I had lost hearing when she said that she had a daughter with Dominic.

“You got to ride up out of here, Mariah. This shit not cool. You know motherfucking well Dominic is going to be pissed about this,” Tech said as he tried to push her towards the door.

“It’s all good, Tech. She don’t have to leave. I’ll leave, but before I do, let me tell my husband something. I’m sure he can hear me.
